One of the cities oldest outdoor pools this project updated the entire site bringing this beautiful location up to date. The existing pool house was removed and replaced with a new bathhouse and pumphouse. The bathhouse contains men's & women's locker rooms, family locker rooms, and a lifeguard office. The new pump house contains the new pool equipment for the updated outdoor pool. Lighting design on the inside was done with linear direct/indirect fixtures mounted to the wall. For the exterior design we wanted to maintain a very simple clean look so recessed downlights were used.

This 77,000 square foot new recreation center houses an indoor turf field, natatorium, gymnasium, fitness, group exercise space and multipurpose rooms along with all the supporting areas like locker rooms and offices.
The lighting in the main fitness area was designed to follow the lines of the large wooden beams. Custom fixtures were designed with Axis Lighting with higher lumen outputs so we could provide the light on the fitness floor using only the main beams which were spaced about 50' apart and 30' above the fitness floor. Standoffs were designed so the uplight would miss the fire suppression lines and instead highlight the beautiful wood structure. Curved track was used on the curved beams to highlight the artwork that was integrated into the design early on in the design process ensuring the integrated with the architecture.
The AV systems in the pool party rooms, group exercise room and multipurpose rooms have a control system that integrates the lighting, audio and video systems as well as the window shades allowing users to control all components in the space from a single control point. The projectors in the multipurpose rooms recess into the ceiling and all but disappear when not in use.

Also featured was an illuminated sports field that can be used to host recreation sports at night.

The project was part addition and part renovation. 45,000 square feet of new space include fitness rooms, spin studio, a turf gym, open weights area, a new preschool and playground, and addition to natatorium including a therapy pool, a large leisure pool as well as family locker rooms. The remodel portion included the lobby and senior center.

The project was a renovation of the existing facility converting the existing indoor tennis courts into a two level fitness center with cardio, strength and weight training, spin classroom, and an indoor turf gym. The existing gym was converted into a child watch wing that included an indoor playground. Upgrades to the existing lobby and the multipurpose rooms were also a part of the renovation.
The new indoor tennis facility included two new courts.

LEED Gold Building
New 100,000 square foot student recreation facility with a 1,400 seat competition gym. The new building includes, locker rooms, classrooms, multi-purpose room, 2-court recreation gym, running track, group exercise rooms, weight room, climbing wall and spire, and offices. Generator was provided for emergency backup so that the facility could be used during emergency situations.

Relight of Denver Universities Magness Arena home to the hockey and basketball teams as well as the exterior lighting at the Barton Lacrosse Field. Both projects had the goals to reduce lighting load, add lighting controls that allowed for the spaces to change light levels based on their many functions, which LED could solve. In addition the new lighting at Magness reduced the shadows along the dasher boards. On the Barton Lacrosse field the light trespass onto the adjacent dorm building was also significantly reduced with the new lighting design.

A complete remodel of the existing 30,000 square foot library. The renovation included new exterior entry. Inside the remodel opened up the barrel vaulted ceiling allowing daylight to flood the space. The new spaces include a makerspace, new restrooms, new meeting rooms, and a new childrens area.
